Frequently asked questions
How are fees determined?
For translation Fees are calculated according to word count, volume, complexity, layout, legibility, urgency, and assignment requirements. For interpreting Fees are determined hourly, by half-day, by day, or subject to a minimum booking.
Is the original document required?
A legible copy is usually sufficient to prepare a quote and complete the translation. The receiving institution may nevertheless apply its own requirements regarding originals or copies.
How can I send a document?
The form allows one optional file of up to 8 MB to be attached for assessment. For a larger or particularly sensitive document, request instructions for an alternative transmission method.
What is the delivery time?
The deadline depends on volume, complexity, format, and availability. It is confirmed in the quote before the assignment is accepted. Urgent service may be available depending on capacity; additional fees apply.
Is a paper copy available?
Yes, where included in the assignment. A paper copy may be sent by mail or courier. Applicable printing and shipping fees are stated in the quote.
Can you guarantee that an institution will accept the translation?
Before ordering, the client should verify the receiving institution’s exact requirements. ARINCS prepares the translation in accordance with the agreed assignment and applicable professional requirements, but cannot control the institution’s internal policies or administrative decision.
How do I obtain an interpreting quote?
Provide the date, expected duration, location or platform, languages, context, and any special requirements. A quote will be prepared according to the assignment.
